Hardin County E-911, or Hardin County Control as it is commonly referred to, is a centralized dispatch center that consolidates communication for Hardin County Sheriff's Office, Westpoint Police Dept., Hardin County EMS, Hardin County Coroner, Hardin County Animal Control, Radcliff Fire Dept., Elizabethtown Fire Dept., Vine Grove Fire Dept., Central Hardin Fire Dept., Rineyville Fire Dept., KY86 Fire Dept., West 84 Fire Dept., Stephensburg Fire Dept., White Mills Fire Dept., Upton Fire Dept., Sonora Fire Dept., Glendale Fire Dept., Valley Creek Fire Dept., and West Point Fire Dept.
In an emergency, the very first emergency personnel you speak to is one of our telecommunicators at Hardin County Control when the 911 call is answered. They must quickly but thoroughly obtain all pertinent information from the caller and dispatch the appropriate agency. Telecommunicators are responsible for obtaining, documenting, disseminating and tracking the activities and information for Sheriff's Deputies, Fire and EMS Departments.
